The VIEWING ROOMS

Concealed behind the grandeur of The Hall, The Viewing Rooms occupy what were once the Executive Offices of the Former New York Life Insurance Building — a series of Landmark Interior spaces reinterpreted with refined restraint. Accessible by invitation only, these rooms extend the gallery’s presence into a more private realm, where intimacy replaces monumentality and discretion defines the architectural tone. Designed for targeted presentations and collector engagement, this is where conversation, contemplation, and acquisition naturally unfold.

The intervention embraces a “salon-style” sensibility, translating the atmosphere of historic collecting into a modern context. The palette is deliberately minimal — white walls, soft beige Porcelanosa 4x4 flooring, and concealed lighting that allows artworks to dominate the experience. Every surface and junction was calibrated to respect the original proportions and detailing while achieving a sense of contemporary clarity. Together, the spaces form the quiet counterpart to The Hall: a sequence of rooms where art, architecture, and dialogue converge in confidence, transforming the historic executive suite into an environment of measured elegance and lasting relevance.
